I'll give you some insight.

A friend of mine is in the DJ scene, is a DJ & does many club flyers. This sort of style is appropriate when done correctly. It's semi-blasphemous of me to say that but the fact is club-flyers, much like pizza-flyers, tend to break some rules of design to be effective. My advice is to look at these again and really analyze the readability of the type. That is key. If you can't read it, who gives a crap what the busy-ness looks like... it just turns into art. Some of your type choices leave alot to be desired in the readability department... but for as much crap that you crammed in there, there is balance to each piece and I think they could become useable with some tweaking.

I agree with the above comments, also want to add, that it looks to me that these were originally designed in RGB not CMYK. Check out some of the ones I had to threw together for clients where I work at. I hate the designs, but it sells and thats what they want.

Sometimes, you have to put your abstract minds to rest and deal with cookie cutter style stuff just to keep the customer happy.

Wow, I almost forgot about this site. LOL....Actually I did, had a baby girl got married. More important things to worry about...

The new work looks great man! Fantastic color choices, balance and use of fonts. Amazing work and progression over the past couple of years.

It's rare that you see such progression these days. Im sorry but with some of the work that is considered worth paying for makes me sad...but then I come along and see work like this, and well...its just makes me feel much better about being a deign teacher these days.

Keep up the great work.
