away messages

i think it would be a cool and handy improvement if we allowed for away messages because ive noticed that lots of members are considered online but aren't always active and aren't active for over hours.

i think an away message would help if someone goes to pm someone they know is online but doesnt answer because their not active.
it would save time and effort and be a cool little addition to the site.

anyways that was just my idea...

if anyone has something to say on the subject please do.

I checked the general vbulletin pm options in the admin panel and there isn't an option ... ill look for a plugin.

wilde how about on the list at the bottom where it says all the members to change the colours so:

red: online but unactive for say a hour
green online and active within the hour

that would be the same sorta thing???

haha, its in a local theatre that plays movies that aren't on dvd yet.
i just saw it.

back on subject, i have come to realize that away messages are needed due to the fact that i keep trying to get in touch with someone by pm, but dont get a response till like an hour later. its about to drive me mad. lol

do we have any progress yet?
