Choppy Halloween

Well I guess most of you guys went trick or treating last night, so Sinic was the only one who submitted a chop. Anyhow, heres what we came up with.

Wtf... This is totally scary guys... great brushing SiNiC and PSD great attention to detail... but was'nt this a comp?

well, when i saw these, mistakes stood out very strongly for me...

sinic--
-the front of the car looks like a flat black, but when you look at the side and the roof, its a gloss/metallic black...
-the chrome should also have a dark hint to it because no matter what the paint is like, it will still be reflected and give a slight glow.
-the reflection of the car on the bumper is still white, not black. and theres no red glow on it from the skulls.
-the white line on the nearest fender, what is that? its way too strong to be for details.... it should just be a very small glow...
-and your grill!!! omg....two words: i like!!! reminds me of the trucks in that steven king movie....i think its called "Trucks", but im not exactly sure...

davinci--yours doesnt have as many mistakes, or as big either, but it still stood out:
-the chrome, just like in sinics, should be darker, due to the darkness around it.
-the glares are extremely strong for the theme
-the shading is going in the wrong direction, easily noticable by the glows on the tires compared with the shadow at the front
-looks like it came straight out of "The Munsters"!!

other than that, both chops look good.
nice, dark themes.
if you get other peoples chops, you should still make a poll out of it, even though its late...
id like to see what everybody else came up with!!

loving your chop davinci, especially the play on words, you are a master of that no doubt.

it was my intention to brush that line in that manner,
i wanted it to look like an edge, a blade if you will.

Yeah, I was disappointed that there wasn't more participation as well.
I guess I have to get beyond this urge to be the mentor around here.
I know that most just want to do nothing but chops and quite frankly theres nothing wrong with that.
Its the foundation on which this site was built.
I do notice there are some who have definite artistic talent and I cant help but wanting to foster that and lead those in a direction that might shape a career and/or a future in art or graphic design.
I know Carty and a few others have tried as well and havent fared much better.
Theres so much more to this than what is being presented and I would love to do more and share more but at the present time it doesnt seem worthwhile.
Anyhow, just got to stay vigilant.
Im hoping that Mondalas site upgrade will afford some things that might allow advanced training and membership to flourish again.

Anyhow Igor Designs sent me a chop he did for the Choppy Halloween thing which was a bit too late but its pretty good andI didnt want his time to go to waste.
