its when the create the background, they make a simple section of it,
maybe only 5 or 6 stripes going at that angle,
then during part that they set the background, they select a repeat option...
not sure exactly how its done or what the actual terms are,
but back when i was still in school, i learned a very small amount about creating websites,
and this happened to be a bit of it...
hope i made enough sence..

Code:
<style type="text/css">
body
{
background-image: url('background.jpg');
background-repeat: repeat
}
</style>
this is the css way of doing it you just put that code in the HEAD section of you html page or in your external css file.

background.jpg would be the image with the 45 degree lines u made in photoshop or whatever prog. and of course you can rename it to whatever you want.

in terms of making the image just start off with a square canvas (64 x 64 , 32x32 or whatever) draw one line diagonally from corner to corner (whichever direction you want) then try to fill in the rest equally and use the offset function i think its under filters menu in photoshop just set x and y offset to half of your canvas to make sure the edges meet up

ORR
i just thought of an idea just use a smaller canvas maybe 8x8 and have one diagonal line and then it should come out like what u saw earlier( note this would only work for lines and not any other more complex repeat image in that case use method above )

i know this is late but i thought it might be useful for other members
