Well if i was going to buy a pickup truck with some power I would defiently go for a Dakota R/T BUT those are quite a bit of $$$.

those crash test ratings are pretty misleading...

the MINI is one of the safest vehicles on the road. More so than a bunch of pickups.

F150 is real popular as far as parts go.. after all, everyone has one.

Not sure about rangers, stay away from the 4 bangers and 2wd's if youre gonna raise it. hell just stay away from 4 banger trucks anyway, but you probably already knew that.

I always wanted a tacoma. '85 was the last model year it came with a solid axle front and back stock... but thats a 20 year old truck. plus old jap trucks arean't that great. they old started getting better lately.

hmmm...

if you're worried about parts support or whatever, dont get a brand new truck like a colorado or a titan or something.

I'd personally get a jeep but that's just me.

if youre looking for hella parts, s10's are def the way to go. they look the best, and theyve got the most stuff. my friend has a white silverado (the older kind, dno what year). hes got altezza tail lamps and white out corners in the front. hes got two tens and 20" chrome rims, i think his coilovers cut 5 inches in the front and 7 in the back...theres also a guy at my school whos got a white s10 with hydrolics and 20" deep dishes. really nice. anyways, if youre looking for a used truck, chevy's are nice

there's nothing misleading about hurling a vehicle at 45mph into a wall......just follow the NHTSA and you're golden

Dude i have to listem to them! if i were 18 i would tell them to **** off..but im still leaning towards a car but a pickup is the right kinda of automobile cause i wont have to pay for the whole thing

and trust my my bro has had 3 cars..iv seen what they did to him (hes 19) they woudnet let him get the car he wanted...

but i have full support over a pickup with my dad and my mom has no clue what the specs on those things are so how about i just get a f150 turbo diesel..

how much money are we talking, sky? because if you're in the market for a truck like mine, get it! i have a 2000 tacoma sr5 v6 4wd. it is *****in. it's so nice, and relatively resonably priced. got it for $14,000.

plus, there is a plethora of aftermarket parts for my truck. i've taken it off road a few times, and it does awesome completely stock.

yea...

not everyone buys racecars... srt4.. dumbass..

well dude, good luck in your search, i'm not a truck person, but they hav their place.

I dont know what to recommend... except from experience... my dad has an S-10... and wow... it's in and out of the shop all the freaking time.... he only uses it to commute, and it's a 99 with like 50,000 miles.. complete piece of **** are the little GM trucks, my friend has a sonoma and bet the rear axle thru normal driving.

thats all the advice i have, good luck

hah! exactly what i was thinking.

but anyway, as far as trucks go, if you have 20 grand, get a 2002 tacoma v6 4wd with a trd package. you'll have some cash left over for a lift and tires and stuff. go taco!
