nice speed6 but be gentle on the awd they dont like to be pushed. i know a few guys that autox their speed6's and the awd gets trashed and breaks alot. other wise they are quick! might i suggest a badgeless grill if you havnt thought about it yet

Long waited... some more parts came in.

In case anyone was wondering... Cobb TIP and Forge BPV, I'm running the valve as it came with the blue spring because clearly at this point I don't need to add shims or change the spring lol.

Impressions? I put on the BPV first and took it out for a spin, much louder then the stock one, it's metal and make a higher pitch "ping" noise when I let go of the gas. Sounds like 2 swords clashing, I love it. Also holds boost a lot better which is nice. Swapped out the shitty stock TIP and I noticed a slight increase in performance. Picks up just a bit quicker, turbo runs smoother I also found... maybe it's just me lol.

Maybe I'll post a video in the future as to how it sounds.

the "increased performance" from the TIP could just be the butt dyno lying to you. i know, mine lies to me all the time. or maybe not. there are usually gains to be had from a TIP. things are looking real good on your car. how much boost does it run? and are you running stock boost levels? are any software upgrades in the future for your car?

i noticed the TIP isnt really a HP increaser as much as a HP enabler like a water/meth set up, it opens the flow so your turbo spools faster which may make it feel like its making more power, but its just power sooner. idk about your car though, never seen the stock TIP so it might give you 2-3 hp at the crank. are you running a boost gauge? could you tell how much faster you reach full boost with it?

Lol, yeah like I said maybe it was just me... max hp gains from a TIP is like 7 CRANK hp lol, and thats at the most I think... But for some reason I feel the turbo runs a but smoother, I can hear the engine more at lower rpms. Cobb TIP and SRI combo was a great starter improvement for my ride.

As for boost, I haven't messed around with that yet, no chips or anything. On every spec. website/review I see it written differently but the most common response was that it runs about 16 psi, and can spike 18... yes stock, lol. A few of my friends are spiking 25, holding around 18-19 no problem. I'm waiting for a group buy on my other forums for the gauge pod I was looking at. Boost gauge is a must, but something I'll need more in the future when I get heavier mods.

Yeah, I'm definetly looking at software upgrades... I intentionally bought Cobb parts so I can run the Access Port, which right now is the best software/chip upgrade for my car. I can do a lot of things with it... Not sure when I'll buy it as I'm planning on buying coilovers for spring. To get the most gains form the chip I'll need a few more parts, a downpipe being a big one... but all in good time. My funds blow right with school and what not, lol. Car did cost me $24,000.

Right now I think I'm at about 293hp and 307tq... Just my estimate at the crank of cource.

Thanks for checking out my ride guys. Hopefully more to come soon.

i just looked back at some of your first pics of the car, and i must say that i LOVE the oreo cookie themed interior. ive always had a soft spot for two toned seats/door panels. and the black and white look beautiful!

Yeah, I really got lucky on that. Only some of the speed 6's came with the 2-tone black and white leather, I should post some more pics up. It's all black/white leather for the front and back plus the side panels.

I don't believe any other models came with this option, only the rx-8 which had the black/red leather combo.

Thanks again.

Nothing too special... decided to black out the front badge with the amazing weather we've been getting.

Pretty nice weather out, went for a mini shoot... heres just a couple shots with a good friend of mine.

And also got around to take a small video of how the car sounds. Youtube doesn't do too much justice, and the camera quality was alright but it's a basic idea. Sounds a lot better when I'm driving (obviously).

Last but not least, I'll be posting pics soon of my interior/exterior super white LED swap. Coilovers have been ordered, currently being shipped. When those are installed more pics to come.

Took a while, but here are some pics of the new lighting. Stock lighting was garbage, yellow output that wasn't bright enough whatsoever...

Doors:

Rear:

Front:

Vanity mirror:

The interior setup:

License plate lights:

Parking lights:

This is the current interior lighting set up. Eventually I'll grab the footwell LEDs. I'm also looking at a new light for my keyhole, lighting for my cup holders and maybe even puddle lights.

a cold air box woudnt make him any extra power. since its a boosted car as soon as the air hits the turbo it gets instantly heated thats why there is and intercooler to cool the air back down before it goes into the cylinders. you should however look into water/meth injection. run way higher octane and advance your timing as well as cool the air ever more. i just installed a system on a 2.7TT audi s4 and omg huge difference

They have cold air boxes for my car but they don't fit with FMIC's.

yeah meth injection is on the list of the "things to do"... To be honest, I'm still pissed my coils are still not installed lol... I really need to get those in, they've been sitting in my house for so long
