Default Stressed Out Photoshop Noob

Hi guy's,

Names Nate, I recently got Photoshop Elements 10 so I could play around with different colour options for my car. I've managed to lower it and kinda change the colour of the body but It can't get the colours I want.

Here is what I have managed so far
Original:

Lowered:

And here is where I wanted to make the body black and the wheels white, but all I could do was remove the colour from a duplicate layer and merge it.

Hopefully there will be plenty of info to help me out in the forum

Cheers

in all fairness it dosnt look terrible youve done a pretty clean job mate. if you want it to be more black just lower the brightness on it abit more and that should make it better.
As for maing the wheels white....your going to have a hard time doing it by just altering the brightness and layers your best bet is to either re-brush them white or try and find a set that are white and the same angle of and copy them into the image.
