Hardness on my eraser problem

Downloaded some brushes (from gbrushes) last night and i when i adjust the hardness on my eraser, it doesn't do anything, still works for paint, not for eraser though.

Um... Try uninstalling the brushes? If you still have a problem I suppose you'll have to re-install Photoshop. I've never had this problem so I don't really know how to help you. Sorry man.

yeah, i reset the brushes, i'll wait till i need to use it really badly before i reload PS

Yeah and if you really need to erase soft edges you could always just make a very feathered selection.
