I have worked on this picture for roughly 2 hours straight, I gotta be at work really soon and I don't think I should have stayed up, but I was compelled.
This seems to fall under the category of "Other Photoshop Works" due to the fact that it's not a drawing, 3d rendering, or cartoon chop.
I origionally posted this as a reply to styler101 in the Guitar Paint in Requests, but I feel like it looks too good to hide away in there, so here ya go...
This isn't 100% resolution, but it's close. The real size of the image is 3673x1000, but this will be close enough.

AWESOME WORK that will deff be in my list of possibilities and i was really wanting to do a candy also so that would fit right in .... i actually have some HOK orange candy left from a paint job a while back
As a guitar player since the age of 6 (i'm now 21) I say go for it. Some of the best designs in guitars are just deep candies and an awesome finish.
This rendering took a little bit to get the depth in paint, but overall I think it turned out great. I suppose some day I may want to make a tutorial showing how I did that eh?
