Just wondering what is the fastest anyone has ever been in a car on regular streets, whether driving or passenger, mainly cuz i'm bored. Me it would be 130 mph in a mitsubishi evolution
My top speed would be about 110..........slow compared to the other responses?? Consider this, we were in an old mitsubishi mirage(little POS), coming home from a club one night. We had all drank way to much and I volunteered as driver, even though I shouldn't have(should've called a friend or cab) we were all wasted beyond any rational decision. So about half way home I was looking at the speedometer so much(trying to stay at posted speed) that I started wondering if this little POS could go the 125 that it said it could. I asked my friend(owner of the car, and a huge lead foot) if he ever had it up that high. Guess what the answer was.........no. So I proceeded to bet them that I could get it to go 125, they bet against me so I set out to prove them wrong. Needless to say it wouldn't go 125 and needful(if thats a word) to say a mitsubishi mirage does not handle very well at 110, we came very close to dieing that night. :unsure:
Oh yeah, I forgot, I plan on breaking this personal record soon. My wifes new car is just way to easy to go fast in, '03 Altima. Maybe on the next trip to see the in-laws it'll happen.
BTW, you guys still tryin to break your own records, wear your damn seat belt and do it when there is absolutely no traffic in sight, on a straight smooth road, pleeeeeaassse.....
I never go under 100 on the highway anymore, I like to keep an average of around 115-120. I've just gotten used to that speed and I drive at that speed with 1 hand on the steering wheel and one hand out the window.

Yeh where I live, there are no highways, just two lane roads which are badly surfaced and bumpy and not at all straight, the highest speed limit here is 50 mph.
with my mom in the car i cant go faster than 65 <_< (and thats on a highway)
but my bro is pretty chill he lets me get up to 85-90 when its just us 2 in tha car.
