Well, here it is. This tutorial can be applied to anything that you want to put inside your car chop or anything that need to be behind the car...basically anything that you can see thru the windows . I chose to do a tutorial on racing seats because that was requested but as I said before you can do anything, get creative!

BTW, I know the seats are at the wrong angle but I just wanted to get it done...it gets the point across anyway you look at it...

Thanks again to bigrick for his 'overlay layer' tip, I think this is definately the better way of doing this...maybe rick will do his own tutorial on his style in the future.

I may do my own tut. I rarely brush directly onto something...i use as many layers as possible the XLR I just did had 98 layers...so which is why I overlay things.

Nice job there... good tut.

HAHA, thanks bigrick..I think a few tutorials from you would make ALOT of people happy. Who wouldn't want to know how a good chopper does his stuff?

As far as the layers, I seem to have something against them(don't know why). When I get the chance to merge layers(everything looks ok) I do it as soon as I can. I guess I get confused easily because I can't stand lookin through a bunch of layers to find the one I'm lookin for...that and I'll start doin somethin thinkin I'm on one layer and 3/4 of the way through I realize I'm on a totally different layer, then everything gets messy and I get frustrated. But hey to each his own...

tru tru. i tend to use as many layers as possible because I think it's easier to keep my options open, like if I need to change something. Whatever works for ya is best! I usually encourage some newer people who ask me on AIM how they can ifx something they messed up, and I ask if they have layers and they tell me no... well it's alot harder to fix something if it's merged, like if something is the wrong color or darkness, it sucks to have to outline everything to change it, when I only have to make one good selection of each part, save the selection and work with multiple layers that overlay each other to get perfect colors and selections for each color...

just my method... it is a little more time consuming, but get's the job done. My XLR is up over 100 layers right now, and I am anxious to reveal it, but I know it will be copied... so I will wait
