My bro's SRT-4: 13.2 @ 105.5mph
My bro finally started to get good times in his srt-4. With multiple trips to the track with 13.8 being the best times, with a little tuning and other things, hes finally reached low 13s. High 12s would have been possible, since his car isnt fully tuned yet. He should be trapping at a higher mph, but 13.2 on stock tires with a 2.1 60' isnt bad lol...

Tell your brother nice one!
For a FF car its mighty impressive, traction is the limiting factor which is a shame.... some slicks will easily net 12's though.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to be in a FF car running 12's or under; it would just be a pain to drive. The understeer/oversteer would be hellacious.

No doubt playa. Now go polish those rims.
What I said had nothing to do with American cars. It's just Dodge in General that makes unexceptable cars. Look at their base model neon, a 3 speed automatic, now knowing that you were saying Dodge is anywhere near those makes of Germany or Japan? Didn't think so, so why not just go back and living off your little daddy's money.

Someone's PMS'ing today.
The base model neon has a 5-speed manual. (And a 4-speed automatic which is optional). Dodge isn't near BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, etc. in most areas, no. But guess what, they're different. The Neon is a solid car for $14k, the 325i costs $30k.
But hey, let's look at a few dodges. What about the Neon. SRT4, and the base model, awesome bang for the buck. The Viper. Need I say more? It'll outrun just about anything this side of a Carrera GT. The Charger. Great sedan, awesome performance of the SRT8. (Can Germany/Japan match that for $39k? Didn't think so.)

I see power and performance as Nothing when you do not have reliability.

And by 3 speed, I meant 3 speed automotic, I know they made those back in the early 2000's which is embarassing for Any car company for that matter.

Check out Dodges website. ( www.dodge.com -- I figure I might need to spell it out, so it's easier for you to comprehend). The car has a 5-Speed manual or 3-speed automatic. Early 2000's 3-Speed. I don't know of such a car, but hey, it could exist. To bad they don't make it anymore, making it completely irrelevent. Not to mention, you're comparing a Neon to BMW, etc. Pricewise, that just doesn't make sense.
About your reliability statement; Funny, seeing as many Dodges share parts with Mercedes cars (German!); DCX is big into sharing parts and rebranding. In addition, Dodge had vehicles that ranked best in quality in J.D. Power & Associates Initial Quality survey; and, overally, ranked higher than: Suzuki, Mazda, Volkswagon, Porsche, Subaru, and Scion. All of which are German or Japanese brands.

I never compared dodge to BMW, you assumed I compared them. And as far as reliability, I Never said Dodge was less reliable then German cars, you assumed I said that.

Why are you so ignorant?
http://auto.consumerguide.com/Auto/U...arreviewspecs/
that car Does exist, go to autotrader or cars.com search for that car and there are a bunch for sale.
If buying a Dodge is your option, more power to you, I certainly won't be stopping you from getting it, Just don't be calling up your daddy when your little neon is dead on the freeway.

"were saying Dodge is anywhere near those makes of Germany or Japan?"

Are you on cocaine? It even says on the top of the page 00-04. The car isn't made anymore. They don't make it anymore. It no longer is in production. It isn't a vehicle currently produced by dodge. How many ways can I say it? Thus making it completely irrelevent. The Neon used to have a 3-Speed Auto because that model is a total economy car. Economy cars use less expensive parts. For example, a 3-Speed auto.

Damn, did I ever say that they still make it? In my original post I stated that they made the car in early 00's, I don't know where you got the idea that I believe its still in production.

okay, okay. enough of the arguing! i've worked on several dodges at my shop, and for the most part, i hate em. the neon is a breeze to change the oil on. whoever designed it, i want to meet him and shake his hand. however, the trucks, the 300 m, etc.: poor design. and, once you get past '97 or so, you'd be hard pressed to find one that doesn't leak oil from one place or another.
but she's right. bang for the buck wise, you can't touch an srt-4.

Sorry GSX for hijacking your thread, its just that someone (ahhhhhm ahhhhhm) here always feels that they have to comment on others posts to prove they have more knowledge. But, but I am not saying any names.

LMFAO, and you proved I do have more knowledge!
I just don't like it when people go say something like "Sweet dude, but ya, no matter what, the car is still a dodge." (Implying that dodges suck)
