monitor help

alright, i just got this nice widescreen monitor/ tv, i hooked it up to my laptop and i cant seem to find how i can match the screen resolution to look normal on my widescreen monitor.

could anyone help?

change the resolution right click on desktop go to properties then click settings tab and change the resolution that is being output

wouldn't my screen still be distorted as a widescreen?

you should be able to separately change the resolution for each display.

hmm i got my pc linked up 2 a 26inch wide screen lcd tv when i plug the vga cable in it just was fine hmm do what dream sed and just try different resolutions wish i could be of more help

when you right click on the desktop then go properties under settings you should be able to switch between the two displays via a dropdown menu.
