Mitsubishi Evo FQ500d [BL-Z]
The idea behind this chop comes from basically finding a really nice bodykit image on the Evo
A bit of editing to get the front smooth and remove the intercooler started off the chop
The blue lines around the logo, front grille and Hood vent is sort of showing its the FQ500d
the first FQ Evo diesel
I then started adding a side skirt, louvre to the front bumper and the crazy hood suspension strut off the K1 Attack
Accented with aCF hood and Roof and some kick *** burnished chrome rims
This Evolution is an absolute beast
Work on my next chop, A Super-Tuner to a Super Car has already begun

Chop:
BL-Z

I konw what you mean but you do get cf pattern , like the one I use, that has that yellowish look to it... you just desat the hood and not the cf pattern.. remember?...

twinkles cf still reflects the colours of surrounding objects, it doesnt desat them
and you can get different shades of cf

depends if you have raw carbon or laquerd. you can get carbon in 3 ways, painted to match, laquerd to protect it or raw which is what they use on f1 cars and bikes. depends on what look your going for.

Plenty of the guys I run with have carbon hoods, and none appear are as dark as yours in the light of day, cloudy or otherwise.
The vast majority of hoods are heavily laquered as DD points out, so they are highly reflective.
You are exactly right about carbon de-sat and your pattern looks great with the contours.
The problem here is that there is to much of a contrast to that of the paint color on the car.
DJ's example looks a bit closer to reality, in relationship to the color of the car because the sky, cloudy or not, still refects plenty of light.
This is a black car but notice how blue it looks due to reflection.
Just lower the opacity some or maybe adjust the Contrast/Brightness.
