Anyone want to see a seriously restrictive intake?................
Yes, that is the standard intake for a Vectra... The air has to go a hell of a long way at low revs, then butterfly valves move and let the air take a shorter path at higher revs. All just for fuel economy... Which is why it's being chucked and a new intake system being made. Something along the lines of this:

My baby's getting put back together! Well, bodywork is anyways lol
And my boyfriend found out where the vacuum leak was coming from... A broken 'thingy' on the cylinder head.

Time for a long overdue update of the Veccy's rebuild...
Finally got a pair of loverly blue harnesses. Just need to attach them to mounts of some sorts.
And the rollcage is pretty much done, except for the harness mounts.

Nah, could never forget about PSC Haven't been at home a lot lately so don't have a lot of time to post or chop. But the Vectra is still going, won't be giving up on it any time soon

I'm sorry if you're reading this for the pure reason that you're hoping it was a long awaited update on the Saloon of Doom... but it's not... Well, it kinda is...
Nothing has been done with the creature for a couple months now due to lack of money... but we haven't forgotten about it completely and it's not getting sold any time soon Once the money's flowing again the Vectra will be revived once again to terrorize the roads of Scotland lol

LOOK! A Vectra update! A real Vectra update!
Rear cage is finally finished along with the harnesses now fully attached to the car.
And removed the airbag from the steering wheel.
Not a lot actually done, but it is a big step to getting the thing done. Now all it needs is the front end put back together and a few mechanical bits and pieces changed.

We bought another Vectra... A facelift 1.8 SRi hatchback Great bodywork, but needs a LOT of attention mechanically. After only five minutes of driving the backbox (an Irmscher one, I might add) fell off, and at every junction it stalled.
...
...
...
So it's being stripped of its parts for The Saloon of Doom
Bumpers, skirts and headlights swapped
Rear lights swapped
Four stud hubs swapped for five stud hubs with alloys
The doors are also going to be swapped, along with the front seats and the front brakes ('cause they're bigger), and eventually the engine.
