RX-9 Concept

Heres a quick concept for ya'll to mill over.
Had a few hours to sit down and work on a chop but couldnt decide what to do so I just started doodling and this is what I got.
The lines sort of resembled the RX-8 so I dubbed it the next gen RX-9.
Back to 2 seats and 2 doors!
The slight fish-eye distortion was not intentional but I kind of liked it so I kept it.

Very nice execution.. i like the overall package and thinking about a rotary in that car makes me even more happy.. great job..

thats pretty cool.. i always thought mazda should make a mid-engine supercar with a rotary (i know this is obviously not an mid-engine car, just kinda puttin my opinion out there)

It doesn't at all strike me as a "mazda" with that kind of design language.
If it's going to be labeled as a "mazda" I'm thinking it should have some sort
of brand attributes?

As a criticism of the work. I'm with Carty slightly. I like the shape, but with
further development it would be more of an accomplishment.

Yeah I know, I guess it seems a bit pretentious on my part to claim the design as the successor to the RX-8.
It was just the more I looked at it I seemed to see characteristics of both the RX-8 and RX-7.
The narrowed body and distended front fenders of the 8, combined with the rounded sides, sweeping roofline and high wide trunk which is remeniscent of the RX-7.
Of course maybe my head is totally in the clouds on this too (haha) I dont know!

Anyhow, heres the wrap-up version, with some additional detailing prompted by Carty, for some further scrutiny.

I appreciate your comments Tony, I got nothing but respect for your opinon and the truest amount of admiration of your ability.
This is my first concept so further development is what im ALL about.
If you have some specifics you would like to elaborate on, please do so.
