Wheel colour change???

Hi all,

I am trying to change the below wheel to black, but every way I can think of it just doesn't look right, is there anyone on here that could do it for me and let me know what method you used?

add in some highlights and make it shiny again lol

I actually made a black layer on top of the rim and lowered the opacity, then adjusted the levels on the rim itself until it looked right. The one side of the rim looked a bit darker, so I lowered the opacity of the eraser and erased part of the black. I also kept the centre, as well as the lug nuts the same as the original.

Sounds like alot of hard work to me mate, but got the look I was after, so thanks, mate your a star!
