That'd be Transformers.
I said Power Rangers.
Granted both are a bit gay, but still.

Most of the people on this board are from the northern hemisphere. Which means when the sun comes out people go outside. It has been a trend on this board since the time I started it. Summer is a slow time on the forum. Vacation, school is out, people doing sports ... ext..... it picks back up in the fall.

im here after about year and 1/2 but very rarely post as people view but dont seem to reply. i've moved over to other choopin forum. check this once a week and thats it. there doesnt seem to be the usual banter that there used to be. its actually quite boring now.
good example is i posted back in may asking if anyone else had problems with imageshack.
2 replies in 4 months and 1 was my own.....there just doesnt seem to be the intrest there anymore.

I agree DD, we are definitely in the midst of a serious lull.
There are a few of us that are trying our best to keep things alive here.
Interest on a whole has waned considerably in the last few years and sadly as a result our numbers have dwindled.
Many have started here and then moved on as you have.
I feel some of this stems from the fact that PSC has chosen to remain an entirely open forum and shyed away from segregating or developing the skill level sections like some of the other sites have.
Personally I prefer this type of arrangement because im not that much of an ego driven type and also feel overall its a friendier and more comfortable environment. More importantly it lends itself greater capability for the novice to interact and learn from those with more experiance. But, quite honestly, I seem to be in a minority where that type of thinking is concerned. In fact most everyone I have either posed the question to or read responses to same, prefer the levels structure. They dont want their work lumped in with noobs, they dont want to be badgered with questions regarding basic skills and understanding and they enjoy the recognition and challenge that working within select groups have to offer.
Whatever the reason, im confident that PSC can weather this out and continue to be a mainstay for entry level as well as expert within the genre. I know there are plans in the works to improve the site, and even though things appear to have slowed activity wise, we are still a highly recognized community that continues to draw a lot of attention from varied outside sources as well as those affiliated with and/or interested in advanced training in this medium.

I admit I wouldn't mind having different areas of skill level. But maybe this is because of my major. Where everyone in my studio is pretty much on the same skill level except for a select few. And when one of those people asks us a question on basic fundamentals or something we have already learned we get kinda annoyed at them for asking. Its the same here, it really gets old when you open up a thread and see "hey thats cool, can you teach me how to brush?" No, I can't teach you how to brush, you can learn the same way everyone else did it and do it yourself. Also there is no way to get actual feedback from others on alower skill level than you. Yeah that might say that looks coll or awesome but how is that going to improve your work? I want some one to rip my **** apart and analyze every detail not only from a technical standpoint but from a design aspect as well.

Well, here is a post. I want to get back on here for a bit. I have fallen victim to the busy schedule now and I hardly can check this forum or any for that matter. I have spread my internet attention thin over my own site and all the forums I'm a part of. I found a competition in Super Street magazine and I want to start chopping for it. Maybe get some W.I.P. C&C, and overall get back involved on the site for at least a week. I wish I could commit to more, but Georgia Tech and photography pretty much takes everything out of me. Miss you guys and the site!

I just don't photoshop cars anymore, that's the main reason I don't post often. Doing it really improved my skills, but now I'm onto doing things which actually have a purpose; local gig flyers, website bits and pieces etc. Plus I also help run a music website now which keeps me busy most of the time. I still keep an eye on here, but there isn't much that catches my interest. There isn't really a whole lot of just social chat here either.
