the point is he said it was all brushed, but in actuality he rebrushed a few parts on the c&p parts. granted, it's an awesome looking chop, but this whole deal kinda detracts from it.

When I hear "bodykit is all brushed" I think you created it with the line tool...not copy/paste then fix the little things. If that's the case, every chop I've ever done was brushed
i dont know if you can say that or no...but when you just brush everything from scratch, its "totally brushed" which would look toony if you see carefully(i dont know of any chops which are started from scratch)...in my first post itself i said its mostly brushed...and then someone asked its totally brushed? and i said no only bodykits are brushed...its removing deffects and making total replica by brushing over it...but brushing such things isnt exactly "fixing" it...cause its too hassel pointing out deffects and then fix the whole damn thing..i stead we totally make replica by brushing over...lining and then brushing would make it look toony as even stupid would know that...hope you'r getting my meanings

ummm mostly yes and that's the reason it looks more rendered as someone asked if its made using 3d rendered programs than simply "original"...it would look totally diff if it was JUST compy paste....you HAVE to work on it to make it look real and better, no kidding

and see beermonkey, that's the reason your chops look more toony than real...they'r awsome tries no doubt...but to be honest, i know, even you might be thinking that something's missing in your chops, that reflections and shadows that normal human brains cant think of...that's why i never reply to people's topic when they say its brushed from scratch cause i dont like people getting hurt when i speak truth...totally brushed always look toony and "something missing" stuffs...so actually i would advice you to find cool bumpers and stuffs instead of making them from scratch...

if you want to see my complete brushed project then my alfaromeo is complete brushed but rims...this was my first brushing...and may be this is when i started serious "brushing" cause brushing looked more real than copy paste

okay guys listen when ppl say that something was airbrushed it means that you made the selections using the lasso or pen tool, and then brushed in different parts shadows and the like. by taking a part and merley airbrushing over it does NOT constitute an airbrushed part. making the selection by urself is half the battle, then brushing in shadows and all that to make it like the part bends or curves or leads into a vent is the second half. in SW's case both things were done for him, the selection of the kit was there, andd the lighting was there (he was able to see where all the shadows, dodgey pieces should go. so in a sense all that is is cut and paste.

maaaaaaannnnny people do this (especially here) but i won't name names. however if you are a quality airbrusher, its easy tell what parts were made from sctrach, and what parts were merley "brushed over".

all brushed parts are somewhat toony, yet sometimes they can look perfectly real. Honest airbrushers like Glacius, Chopper621, Myself, and Joemomma dont lie about brushing parts, we can accept how good we really are (of course me n joe suck compared to the other 2, but thats another topic)

in short: dont lie about what you can or cant do, because it'll come out in the end. just accept how good you are at something, or work harder to improve

Dude, that's scary to see my name next to chopper, glacius and even you sha$xl....I'm not up there with you guys, maybe someday but not currently.

And about the whole brushed thing...some people interpert 'brushed' or 'brushing' differently. Personally, I think brushing a part is doing it totally from scratch. Some people think brushing over an existing part is brushing. Neither one of us is wrong.

Now, the catch. If SW's bumper shows up in someone elses chop is that considered stealing? I think so, but what about everyone else? BUT, SW has to be able to prove it's his 'brushed' bumper, if they use the original that SW brushed over then I'd consider that not stealing because anyone can find that pic on the net(obviously)...

BTW, people need to be calm about this, if it gets ugly at any point the thread is closed..
