Bought my first 21+ drink today
I bought my first beer today since being 21. I turned 21 in march but i didnt have an ID, my new one just came in the mail yesterday, so im sitting on the couch enjoying at nice cold Budweiser. It tastes even better when you can buy it yourself.

:? ... You guys need to be 21 to drink?... Around here the legal age is 18 but we find pubs and clubs who lets us drink at 16 and 15...

Yeah Yanks have it all the wrong way round. You can have an overpowered car at 16, but you can't get drunk til you're 21. Shocking.
Whats even worse, is the UK are trying to take that rule as well and put it in over here.

yeah it's dumb, you can:
drive a lambo at 16
go into the military and get shot at 18
and have a drink at 21

we can drink and smoke at 19 here, drive at 16, and gamble at 18

here you can smoke and gamble at 18, drive at 16 but cant drink till 21. Its pretty lame. I was drinking all the time anyways tho since i was like 14 i been gettin ****** up. Its just nice to be able to actually buy it yourself. Im not even really aloud to drink still anyways cause im on felont probation for 2 years, no drinking =/, **** that tho i do it a few times a week.

Here you can do pretty much absolutely everything you want at 18, although last time I checked they actually raised the smoking age to 21. Which is fine because I'm not going to smoke at all if I can help it.
That said though I haven't actually bought myself an "alcoholic beverage" at all since I turned 18.

16 to drive with someone that has a full license, after 8 months on your own...
18 to purchase lottery and scratch tickets (when you turn 18 you are no longer considered a minor also - enter into your own contracts)...
19 to buy smokes, alcohol and to gamble in casinos...

I preferred it when the smoking age was 16. Only got changed in 2008 I think. Mighta been '07. Can't remember.

Hell, I've been drinking since 16, smoking since 17. But it all is so much better when its legal.
