Default New Cars Discussion

Thought I would start this, mostly because of the Ferrari FF, which I don't really like, I thought I would see what the rest of people think of it.

I think that the car might be alright if it weren't a ferrari. Same thing with the lambo estoque. There are certain expectations for companies like ferrari and lamborghini, and this is way off....or is that just me?

The Estoque wasn't going to be built in the first place. They should have made the FF look like an extended 599 in the way Aston Martin made the Rapide look like an extended DB9. In the FF's current form it looks too much like a rip off of Porsche's Panamera from the back which is absolutely hideous. And I also get the feeling Fezza will drop the idea of an AWD system very shortly.

The FF looks like they are trying to make a hot hatch. The Rapide was okay, but it just seemed wrong, four doors don't belong with Aston, Ferrari, or Lambo, I couldn't care less about the Porsche though.

Other question...Are Ferrari and Lamborghini changing? There seem to be other companies taking over where they once were. Koenigsegg (that might be spelled wrong), Pagani, and Ascari for example. Lamborghini and Ferrari seem to possibly be following in the footsteps of Maserati and becoming more family oriented?

Seen Lamborghini's LP700-4 prototype? They don't have a hope in hell of changing their strategy. And as for Ferrari, well, they own Maserati so it's kind of surprising they're taking the Maserati direction with the FF. Then again most of both Ferrari and Maserati's products are classed as grand tourers. Koenigsegg is more eye-balling with hypercars like the Veyron and other incredibly expensive exotica, Pagani is much too expensive and exclusive to compare to Lambo and Fezza and Ascari hasn't created a new car since the race-car-for-the-road A10 that clocked that 1.17.3 on TG's test track in 2007.

I did look up the new lambo, and I can't really tell, it has all of that stuff over it. But the numbers they are talking about sound great.
After watching Top Gear I can understand the FF, but I still don't like it.
