Default My major work in progress Chevy Camaro concept based Dodge Chargers

This is a small project that over a couple years ever now and then ive tryed work on the picture im showing you I know most of the flaws bc theyre shown cleary but its mainly the concept of it I wanna show off and get a opionion about and "helpful" suggestions would also help.

original:

WIP 1:

Did this a year ago I already notice the wheels are off some and the paint prolly aint the greatest because i know nothing about reflections im mostly a copy and paster lol

WIP 2:

this is a bolder look I would say. the wheels are off I prolly shouldnt have used those.

If you have any trouble seeing the picture i can put them on here a diffrent way or Pm the pics links but otherwise any comments or suggestions that arent completly abvious would help

The selections are very rough and jagged, and that grille doesn't line up with the body lines of the car.

Ya I know the grille is off and thats one of my major problems in this project because its hard to find that exact angle without having to do skewing or distoring ,which everyone is like oh no you cant do that even if its a little off which I understand because of picture quality(blurness and such) thats why I came up with the idea that I might try doing a brushed version of the grill so i can have the angle the way I need but thanks for pointing that out . Also you didnt refer to which wip your talking about so im guessing its the secound one . my selections if your talking about the way I painted and removed parts of it is because the way I painted is I made a copy and then grayscaled it and then used varations and since I dont have pen tool I used the polygonal tool to take the parts I didnt want coloured red and thats how it ended up that way any suggestions from anyone? keep in mind I have elements which takes away a few tools and filters but I can still as you see do alot of things and ive used CS2 in school so I know what it has that I dont. Also Id like to see some comments on the overall concept I think It could work great with some time I had a idea of putting my final on a cover of a hot rod magazine and putting the head line as "return of the legend" or something like that.

the grill it self looks like an ok angle but its just the fact that you couldnt match up the corner of the grill with the naturaly line in the body?

"the wheels are off I prolly shouldnt have used those." well why the hell did you then. if they dont work change them!

I wanted to show my mistakes meaning those wheels and then show how I progress isnt that why its a work in progress? I Wanted to show the project from the begining so maybe someone could see more into what I was trying to do and not just when I thought it looked right. But thanks for the comments I appreciate it even tho it might not seem like it.

I changed the grill so it would be aligned with the body lines and put diffrent rims on. tell me what you think if see anything wrong please tell me how to fix it just telling me does nothing.anyone can agree with that, if you know a tut even point that out but otherwise comments of any kind are welcome

I remember this one! You showed me on MSN lol! Those wheels are WAY off angle ( the rear one at least) Look for a donor at a better angle. The grill is looking better just very blurry.

Default Wheels

Its getting there. I like the concept and I'm a fan of big cars. How about these rims?(below). I know the car is a different angle but if you compare the wheels to the original they look darn close imo, you might just have to make the front wheel a bit bigger (to suit being at the front of the picture), the front wheel always looks cool turned in .imo.

ya I havent seen that one might try it for the grill but its outdoor so it has reflections that might be hard to change and the wheels arent gonna work but ya ill use that for something maybe thanks! If anyone can find anymore like that Id appreciate the help but still would like some comments on the crrent version if anyone would like but talk to you later

ya Im liken the rims to but since there not the same angle im gonna have to skew a little is that accepted here? I mean i keep hearing people say oh dont skew youll make it blurry, find the exact angle and you know what thats impossible for this car since there are few pictures of the camaro concept and it looks nothing like to many other cars then the challenger even it is not even out on showrooms yet and I dont know how to make the front wheel look turned in other than like adding black brush in there but conntinue to suggest rims and help me find a front grill that wont be so blurry and of course any comments and suggestions appreciated.

I was actually refering to the angle of the front wheel on the gto when I was talking about being turned in, Not any special effects by you. I quickly cut them out to have a look and they seem about right imo. You would just have to scale them, not skew them.

I had a go at resizing them, and fitting them too, and you only have to skew the rear wheel a tiny bit but it is not noticable imo. Check it out.

wow they look great ill put them on there myself since id have to almost do the whole grille and everything over again and plus i like doing my own work but thanks for showing me that those wheels are gonna be great. but what about that grille hmm lol I thought I might take a new mustangs grille and use that and then find a center grille piece similar to the 69 but more modern anyone know if any car that has that? but other wise ill keep looking for a grille from a 69 or 70 charger to use.

so here is my the Charger Concept with the wheels that were provided as you said they work nicely just barely off angle in the front so had to do a little skewin but ya as you can also see added a stripe to the back end it looks off angle a little id say tryed for a awile to make it look right but nothin. any other way I could make that stripe I used the rectangle tool and overlayed it on the car. any comments and suggestions as always welcome so ttyl

Ahh yeah, thats whats going on. Dude i think you need to take a closer look at the image I posted. And you can still lower it too if you want.

so heres the correct way the rims should be thought that other way might look more like the wheel was turned maybe idk but anyways this was looks alot more correct now that ive been able to compare them. what you mean by lowering? if you mean lower the car then ya I only know how to do that with the flattening and duplicating and then using the lasso and then ctrl and use the arrows but I dont want to flatten the layers so is there another way?
