Default 2005 Ford Mondeo

First time posting one of my chops. I'm not the most artistic person in the world but tutorials are a great thing ! Would love some C&C on my latest chop.

I enjoy taking 'normal' everyday cars and chopping them. I like my chops kinda subtle if that makes sense.

(the DL Fotofix Logo is just something I made up. I'm a barman not an artist )

rims are uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuber flat! look for higher resolution images to sort that out

the vent in the door is well coloured but probably misplaced (why would a vent be there?)

reflection on the floor is done well, overall it ent bad for someone new to all this good work

The driver might have smelly feet !

With regard the rims do you mean flat as in flat tyre or flat as in visually

To fix the perspective of the wheels you need to make sure you don't use the same wheel image on your chop twice as it looks like it's been done here. That back wheel just looks like a two-dimensional image rather than a three-dimensional wheel. Fixing this pretty much just involves images for a high-resolution shot of the style of wheel you're looking for and using the back wheel from the donor image as well as the front wheel. Searching for specific brands helps. When you do find a good shot make sure the angle of the wheels in the picture roughly match the angle of the wheels for the chop you're putting them on.

Another couple of quick notes: the near-side of the front bumper needs to be shortened a bit; it looks a little wonky and out of perspective. Also the vent on the lower part of the door might be better resized to make it smaller and placed on the front quarter panel (above the front wheel and left of the doorline).

Looks pretty good otherwise for a first published chop! The Pirelli P-Zero writing is a very nice touch.

hey mate...
i wouldn't comment on this, but i own one of these mondeos and constructive critisism is always good and you said you like tutorials... sooo...

i have a few pointers and such...regarding this car and your further projects.

i feel, like the front spoiler is too big in its heigth for it to be subtle, so i kinda made a chop of your chop...i dont mean to be cocky or disrespectful, but i see in you some promise so i try to help.

you probably lowered the car and choose some rims and found a nice front spoiler...nice...now when you probably started to fit the spoiler you saw, that it was too small, so you modified it a bit...made it taller...

you shouldn't do that...in a car there are always ways to make it lower- thus make the (front) spoiler look better.

first...let me post a picture...

the red part seems like it has been modified
the green part is where you could have made some more lowering
the cyan part is where AFTER the green part lowering...you could have lifted the rims and arches a bit higher...thus making the car a bit lower
the yellow part is a part of the rim...if the rim is flat you can shift the insides of the rim to the side (in this case left) and repaint the rim arch...making it look not so flat.

I made a re-chop of your work to show you how drastic these sort of changes work on the car[
Hope this helps bud!

the lowering tip given above is a good, BUT the whole kit idea has kinda failed as it looks squeezed and out of proportion (look at the front vent) deffinatley take on the lowering tip. The rim tip (im sorry) is wrong.

It still looks flat so disregard that. the simplest thing for flat rims is find a higher resolution donor.

Otherwise the tips are really usefull

Not sure about the vent in the door either but the "he has smelly feet" cracked me up . good job. Maybe add some more dish on the back wheel.

I will not crit you mate because the problems are already posted by our beloved members!
I will only advice you:

1)Keep practicing more
2)Read some Good Tutorials about tuning a car in Photoshop.
3)Practice a bit more
4)Try to perfect what you are doing then it gives you the sense of Reality!
So always try to make a Photoshop image looks like "Real"
5) is your friend. Always try to find the best image and the correct perspective of a Wheel, bodykit etc to suit the car image you have..

Cheers!
