Default How To Post Pictures

Got bored made a tutorial on how to post pictures on the forum.

IN PHOTOSHOP, save your picture as a jpeg..

Always choose the highest quality setting you can get, "12" as seen here..

ON THE INTERNET, go to www.imageshack.us and click the "BROWSE" button..

Locate the picture you saved earlier(in step one) and click on it..

This will bring you back to the imageshack front page, now hit the "HOST IT!" button and a new screen will appear. Right-click and COPY the last link on this page..

ON PHOTOSHOPCHOP.COM, in the reply screen hit the small picture that looks like a mountain on a post card button(mouse over it and it will say "INSERT IMAGE")..

A prompt will appear asking you to enter the text to be formatted. Right-click and paste the link you copied off of imageshack. Hit the "OK" button..

Your link will now appear in the reply box with [IMG] tags around it, hit the "SUBMIT NEW THREAD" or "ADD REPLY" button and you have posted a picture..

You don't always have to choose quality setting of 12. You can choose "Save for web" and see how little the overall quality will affect the image. You can usually go as low as 50% without any loss visible to the human eye. That will lower your file size and make it easier for everyone to download.

It could mean the difference between an 80k file and a 400k file. That's a world of difference to those people still on dial-up. That, and the quality loss on the jpg is not noticeable...just make sure to keep your original .psd.

Well, let's put it this way, this is how I do it so this is how I explained it. I've heard the "save for web" thing before but actually never tried it. SO if it works for you then more power to ya, personally if your on dial-up you should be used to waiting so either way your gonna wait for a picture to d/l.

BTW, this is just the "simple" easy way to do things, others have different ways and methods and that's a good thing...

Not real sure why that's happening, are you sure your saving your file as a jpeg?? That's my only guess, maybe someone else can help out a little better..

Try a different website instead of imageshack.

Umm, lets say www.imagesharing.com

I use photobucket.com, you can get an IMG link after you upload your pics to the website, then put the link on here and it will show the image.
