Default 2009 GTO Concept W.I.P.

So I havent chopped anything since November, way to busy. I have missed it a little to be honest, I find i fun. I really enjoyed chopping the 300C and retrostyling it. I have decided that the GTO never got a chance and I wanted to give it one. I am doing this all by hand (pen tool) and he final product I am hoping for a chop where the body is all brushed and the grill and various other parts are cut and paste. Here is what I have for a concept thus far though. With the rate that my chopping has been going, look for an update in about a month

Outline thus far:

~ ps the perspective I am using however is based off a car, it look s alittle off, but I like I said, W.I.P.

UPDATE: 1/21/07
Ok, so I hurt my back and I cant sit at my desk for long, but here is a little update. I don't know if I like the spoiler, I might savbe that for the judge version or something.

*Update* 22 Aug07
So I honestly haven't been here for a little while now, been enjoying summer. Today was a rainy day, so I sat back and did a little work on the GTO. With any luck I will have it finished by 2009... Doh

*update* with th shaker hood 10 Sep07

Hey, I know you're proud of the idea and the progress, but you realise it's just a few lines that give a very vague view of the car.

I don't mind leaving it up there, but as a note for future threads, I would suggest more progress before posting.

I like where you're going so far though.

It looks a bit narrow but still kind of early to tell.

I see what ur doin. the front grill you got there so far really does resemble what an updated GTO front grill. kinda like what dodge is doing with the challenger huh? i cant wait to see what itll look like when ur done but i know for sure it'll look better than the current GTO aka vauxhall monaro. nice touch with the humps on the fenders. gives it that real muscly look

Kind of why this is in the W.I.P. section. I am going at this on the side and this is the steps that I am taking (kind of like a summary) I just hope my brushing skills dont kill it

Well dude, there is a W.I.P. then there is that. You hardly have anything there, a few lines that sort of define the front end. I still think that you and everyone needs to have more than that before you post it...

Well the great thing is, you are entitled to your opinion. I happen to not give a damn and would tell you thanks for participating, but like I said earlier, its a work in progress. I plan on showing all stages that I am going through. If I had more, might as well post in in the "chop section", that is kind of why this area was created. Am I wrong?

You also always have the option of not clicking on this thread if you choose to as well. So for any interested, I will be updating by editing my post so the progress can be seen form the ground up.

^^^^^ I agree, 100%

That is why this is called the W.I.P. section.

As for the W.I.P. it looks really cool and better than the current model, so good job so far.

Keep us updated.

I am trying figure out what the front end should look like. I kind of want to keep the boxy look. I am also looking for some nice wheels and rims. I was hoping for a "Cragar" rim but a little more modern. If anyone has seen some, please PM a good pic for reference.

Lil update, adding some color. Any suggestions? I thought the blue was decent, and black might not give the effect I want. Any recommendations
