Very nice for a first, could you post the original as well next time.
Actually very impressive for a first.
Few things for next time:
-rims are a bit dark around the bottoms
-blue seems a bit too blue as opposed to the white

I'm guessing for the colour change you set the hue/saturation to colorize and did it that way, check the tutorials for colour changes.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm very impressed. Keep it up.

I actually used the levels to darken the blue a bit.

pretty much what kenny said , i do love the two-tone lines youve gone for , they are pic imo

your wheel placement seems to be spot on , tho it is a little hard to tell since its a very dark image , but spend a little more time looking for better donor wheels , it makes it much easier when you find the wheels you want , that are on a car at the similar angle as your chop

ive found so many good HD pics on flikr.com , if you search " vossen wheels " or "360 forged" or other brands , you can usually get some great donor pics , and the finished chop looks a lot more realistic when you dont use the same wheel for the front and back , because the shadows and angles of the front wheel are very rarely the same as the back , you can get away with it sometimes but tis very difficult

all in all , very well done for a first chop...........sorry chopS : )

+2, think you have done a good job there matey, shame the image is a tad dark though. On the second image its seems like the rims are a bit flat imo but overall not a bad evort

In photoshop I uses 2 layers of the full car: a normal one and the dark one.
I did the placement of parts on the normal one then hide it and adjusted the lighting for the dark one.
Why? Cause on the dark layer all the bad details become invisible.
Call it cheating if you want to but it makes it allot easier. Next time i'll try to keep it birght

Thx for the tip on the wheels.
But i hate finding nice wheels on a right angled car

Well to tell you the truth , just making the image darker to hide the defects will not help you in developing your photo editing skills , you need to learn to fix the defects , PRACTISE , PRACTISE , PRACTISE

And , why do you hate looking for wheels on a right angled car ?

I actually love the color. That metallic midnight blue looks awesome! But yeah, on a chop, it's a bad idea. Yes, it does hide the defects, but it also creates some defects, it hides the normal body lines. I can barely see the vents under the headlight, for example.
The two-tone job is amazing though. I don't think many would make the stripe go up the window support like that. Nice attention to detail there.

The end results are good. But I'm sure all of us here would love to see more drastic chops. Itd be a good wayto improve. Don't be afraid to get all crazy with what you do. You learn more from your mystakes, so go all out with your next one.
