if you're really interested in logo design, I'd recommend using Illustrator simply because of the vector-art, which gives you basically no limit to the size, ou can enlarge with zero loss of information. Rasterart in most cases can't be enlarged and look good...especially very big.

Yours look ok i guess, keep practicing, and try to get a lil more conceptual and have more sophistication.
