ok well NG answered this question a while ago but I cant find the thread anymore and I also forgot how to do it so here it is again. How do you import pictures into 3dsmax to use as materials?

i think you have to select bitmap and load a picture that way.

and it has to be a bitmap.

yeah when in the meterial select screen just scroll down and choos maps then click on the section you want it IE bump or reflection then choose bitmap and then pick your pic
