Default RX-8, 1st 3d car model (wip)

hi there
well i only got 3dsmax like a week ago (well taht how long i been using it anyway) and have been going through all the tutorials that came with it. i came across a tutorial on how to do an RX-8 on the net and decided to try it. i didnt rly follow it at all, just got the basic idea of what they were doing, although i seem to have lost the link for now....? anyways this is what i got so far of about 1 1/2 nights work. i know its not that good - still needs some tweaking to get it looking right - and i havent done any of the paint at all yet obviously lol.
well here it is:

hi
found the link to the tutorial i was using. as i said though, i wasnt actually following it - just got the basic idea from it of how to do the stuff. oh and by the way this is my 2nd attemt at that car too. the 1st one i sorta rushed into it and didnt work properly when i compared to a photo of the real car.
http://www.3dm3.com/tutorials/car3/
this is the 1st version i was doing before i thought i should start again... lol:

just didnt show enough detail - only took me a couple of hours too, where the other took a couple of night - just a lot more detail in it, and it should be relativly acurate too.
anyways thanx for the replys

well just a quick update on how its going so far...

still got some issues and i now see that the rear arch has a flat spot somewhere... dammit. i think i'm modeling it a hard way cos its takng forever to make the panels flat and continuous. but its all a learning thing fo rme. however once im finished with the body, im not any good at paint etc, so i was wondering if there were any volenteers out there that could lend me a hand if i send the file - well when its finally finished anyway... oh an im not looking foward to doing the tyres and the interior... :S

The way your doing it isnt the hard way I think it just takes a long time cuza I know I was trying to make a Cerrar GT and it took me like 3 hours just to do the area above the front wheel, and it didnt even turn out good. Id love to try and add some color to it. Ive neer coloured a car but I think I know how to do a desent(sp?) job.
