need help adding side vents

i have been wondering how to add side vents, or any vents for that matter, to a car. i have no clue how to do it. i found a tutorial in the photoshop bible, but it was very vague on how to do it. so please help. ( if you think this thread should be moved to tutorials, please do so)

thanks, i looked at the tutorial, and it looks much easier. i will have to try it later, dont have time to right now.
