HELP I suck at this stuff

Hi fellows. Well i downloaded GIMP and have been trying to figure this thing out for hours and i just am not getting it. There is just too much stuff going on that you have to do to make things look right. i try to change the color and it just looks like a paint shop program lol no shades or highlights or anything. So i figure i would come to the pros that know what they are doing and ask for help. I am starting my build on my truck and just want to get a idea of what the finished product is going to look like. I am changing the color to same color off "ELINORE" mustang (no racing stripes), with bumper smoothed and painted to match, molding and door handles shave, billet front grille, and 4/6 drop to where the tires sit even with the finder wells. If anyone could do that i would really appreciate it. Also if anyone wants to play around with it and throw some ideas my way that would be cool. thanks guys

I use GIMP... and I think iv gotten pretty good with it... So anything you wanna know pm me

He wants somebody to apply a smoothed front bumper and rear bumper of coarse, and change the color to the eleanor color without stripes. Somebody oblige this guy please, otherwise I will when i check back. (P.S. shave the body side mouldings, there isn't any holes behind them, Just double-sided tape. You remove them with Fishing line to saw them off. Once they are off, remove the remaining tape with a drill equipped with an eraser wheel from an autobody supply store. (don't go too fast or you will burn the paint). Remove any dulling scuff marks with a buffer)
