I thought there was something wrong about that chop winning. You can still see where the door lines were

Maybe there needs to be a statement in the rules about copying other peoples work. Even though it was wrong to copy the parts, the rules of the competition were not broken.

The Rules:

How to play

First click on this months contest. It is the small thumbnail next to the Current contest number.
Once you get the full size image save it to your desktop or media.
Now use any program you want to modify that vehicle into your own creation.
Possibilities are endless. Tune the car into a real race machine, rice it out, make it a low rider, or even turn a car into a monster truck. The possibilities are endless. Have fun and remeber to read the guidlines below.

GUIDLINES
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your final entry must have a width of at least 500px, but no more than 800px.
The file size of your entry CANNOT be more than 120k in size. The lower the better! To get a lower file size, go:"FILE - SAVE FOR WEB" and use the JPG output.
Files must be in JPG format. NO BMPs, NO GIFs, NO TIFs.
Only ONE submission per person.
You can use ANY graphic program you choose.
No Nudity or Vulgarity.
You can vote for up to two entries.

I still think it's cheating in my books. You got someone who C+P someone else work they slaved over. Then you got that did a amazing chop with brushing which they did all by themselves...

Godamnit...

if they're a member here, they should be banned

AMV's work is a work of art... to use his work is morally, ethically, and legally wrong. I hope they are removed as winner and banned from this forum.

Thanks alot for pointing out the obvious Bloomerz, I never would have spotted that. I usually look at every single chop that people post in the forum and in the contest but I can't remember specific parts as good as some people can, like yourself.

I've contacted MRWILDE about it and I guarantee you it will be taken care of. Maybe we need to rewrite the contest rules also to include the same rules we have posted on the top of the forums.

Also, this goes out to all members, if at all possible....let us know as the entries are posted if you spot anything suspicious on any entry. This section of the forum is the perfect place to speak up about stolen parts on contest entries.

Thanks again for keeping your eyes open!

Im with banning the person that copied the work. AMV spends alot of time mastering each chop and I personally would like to be as good as what he is some day. If you cant do the work then admit it and do what you can.

Thanks joemomma95. It just annoys me to see someones work getting used, and then winning a competion with it. I hope this person gets banned, and the his/her entry gets dropped, and second pace becomes first place, and third becomes 2nd, and you have to choose the nest best outta the entries, IMHO.

No Problem there Just though, that's the 2nd person I have caught nicking AMV's parts.

P.S - I reckon the chop looks **** Anyway, I reckon the one who placed second is was better, IMO.

wow.. not even an attempt to hide it.. i wouldnt be so shocked if it was a c&p side-skirt.. but those were brushed.. thats just wrong.. unless the artist who did that entry WAS AMV.. heh.
