When I go to "my computer" then go to C:\Documents and Settings, I have a list of all the users on the computer. I have 2 users of my own right now. One is for graphics, and the other is for gaming. Now when I am in my gaming one, and try to go to the Documents and Settings section and click on my graphics one, it has an error and said "access denied." My sister's section does that too, but not my dad's. We're all set to administrators of this computer.
How can I make it possible to enter my other user's documents? Is there something I can change on either one of them to enable me to browse through my other section.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
(p.s. he who helps, may get a custom quote, like mine! "we meet again...")
I love gimmicks.
BTW
I can access my Gaming user's files from my Graphics one, it's strange.

first try this this in stead of going to my computer and clicking on the documents of the persons your trying to get into
in stead go to mycomputer localdisk c (or whatever you named it) documents and settings then click on the folder of the person your trying to get to just remember the profile you created first is called default
if that work then i might know whats going on
I never go to my computer and go to whatever documents, I go straight to the localdisk then documents and settings....
C:\Documents and Settings
Must have caught the wrong info there, lol, so now do ya know what's going on? I have music on that user that I want to use on this one. ty for helping.

Hmm, ok. The thing is, with my sister's profile, it just one day decided not to let me in, we didn't change anything on that. It's very strange, this computer is good and all, but it's starting to piss me off.
Also when I restart my computer, in any way, when it reboots it doesn't recognize the monitor, i have to turn off the monitor, then turn off the computer. They were brand new not too long ago, a few months. This didn't happen before I got my raid abit KD-7 AMD xp 2600. this sux

Ive had this problem before. The problem with mine was the the other accounts had there files hidden so I couldnt access them from a different name. I changed the settings and it works fine now. It doesnt sound like your problem but you could try and see. And your other problem, do you have all of the XP updates off of microsofts website? I recently got all of them and havent had a problem with XP at all. I run a very strong firewall and am still able to get things from other places on my computer.

Yes, you changed the settings... and? How did you change the settings? That kinda info would be very helpful, cause just telling me you changed them doesn't do a damn thing for me.
Yes I have all of the updates thus far with XP.

I had to go through and make a new account and it will ask if youd like your files to be hidden. If they are hiddne no one else may access them. Thats probably the problem. But was it letting you into her account before this started happening?
ya try what nogod last said ^^^ u can also try using the 'shared documents' folder instead of the 'my documents' folder, because it has some special settings all set up. PM me if it doesn't work & and ill try to help more.
