Chopper "toon"

Here is my first attempt at doing anything of the sort. It is all done from scratch with no reference. It is supposed to be some sort of futuristic helicopter, without the blades. It is about 30% complete, and I am not too fond of the colors though. C&C please. I want this thing to look great when it is done and I don't know which direction to go. Please ignore the shading and flame as I was trying to make the current colors work.
