what is the "random post" thingy?

does anyone have a use for the random post that appears on the home page?
it seems like it is causing fools, like me , to dredge up posts that are years and years old. should it stay?

lol yeah maybe it should be removed if thats the reason for some of the resurection of old topics. I personaly never look at them but I can see people making the mistake of posting in them.

ya, I don't look at them either ;-) it should just be remade so that it shows a random post from the last month or something

We can remove it. Or we can keep it. I never minded old topics coming back to life.... some forums moderate this heavily but what's the point of being a communist over when you can reply to a post and when shouldn't you just because it's a bit old. I think it's fun!
