(Cleaning up thread}

demon designs: I'm not sure what is happening over there. If registration was disabled, I'm sure they're probably working on something...

If you would like to confirm though, please contact them directly.

Thanks

well i cant do anything but digimods is trown offline because vision-it stopped and they started a new company > http://www.conceptbs.com/
we have got no warning or information this would happen..
pete (digimods) wont awnser his mail same as the rest who would know what is going on.
i find it so a-social they just leave a whole community standing in the cold , not knowing where their forum went..
and yes it's their forum , if it was a case of money they should give people the chance to say we will find a way to finance it .. right ??
and there you stand as admin , not knowing anything (not the first time this happened)
i'm pretty angry.. i invested so much time in this .. its absurd ..really

sorry i've put this here , if it's not wanted just delete is please , i just wanted to share this since i cant reach our members to tell them...nothing but at elast that it's looking bad for digimods forums

Hi CrazyRichard,,
I move your post here so it is a better topic..

Re-opening this thread for digimods discussion as it is my understanding they may have closed shop?

I have not really paid attention to what is happening over there but I understand that they stopped taking registrations in December per this thread and as CrazyRichard has said, their forum is closed.

It is ok to vent in this case since PSC can hope to learn from your experience.

Mr Wilde handed the site over to me because he knew I would keep going and have no interest/intentions other then keeping a community going that we created for per fun/hobby/learning... pay the server bills, try to make PSC better..

That being said, I'm sure digimods has different reasons/business reasons for closing the forum. They may not have communicated well to their forum members in closing it but I'm sure selling it or keeping it going for the sake of the community was not priority for them unfortunately. Please keep your comments non personal towards them but feel free to vent about digimods or offer suggestions for PSC. I'd certainly take interest in purchasing digimods but that might not be an option so at least let me know how I can potentially make a new home here for some.

i first want to thank you mondala for giving me (us) the opportunity to get this debatable here , because it's hard to be able to discuss this off-course.
most chop forums wont want this kinda threads on their forum i suspect .
that is also the reason i wont make a topic without knowing it's allright ..
so thank you very much , because atm this all feels really unrealistic

first of all i am one of 2 current admins on digimods ..
secondly i got no warning or notification at all this was going to happen , i feel a bit disilusional because i invested so much time and effort in digimods that this feels kinda ....fill in the blanc
i mean suddenly it went off-line and in the past this happend a few times ue to attacks from outside..
i thought this was the case but.... atm i'm not sure about that

the weird thing is i get no reply's from pete witch founded digimods and no replyes back from vision-it or better said the new name they now have

at least we all deserve an explanation on why dm is down..and what is the plan ...
even on www.digimods.co.uk witch is still up (pete his personal site) there is no word or statement about this all

if dm can continue in any way by taking over the name and payment i already asked in a e-mail if that would be possible..
until now it's still quiet ..

also i understand that vision-it stopped and went into a new company ,
i think that that is the cause ....

my general feeling is how can anybody just leave so much members and even staff just standing in the cold not knowing what is going on !!
we all contributed to this community for a long time and we deserve better..

and dont get me wrong even if this all is a attack or more and dm was/is coming back
staff should have been informed...

to all members of dm i hope we can get thing running again and if not ...
i want to thank everybody that was on dm for the great times and sharing our passion
with each other ...
for me it was a great time

greets richard

Digimods gone down? I thought i'd never live to see that day. Maybe its just a bad patch? Hope pete sorts things out. If not i hope it sells to a decent person who will make the site/forum a great success.

I totally agree with Rich. I wondered what had happened to it. I thought it could be their servers as I know they have had problems before with things but if they have closed it, it would have been nice to know lol. Hope it comes back as it was a decent place.

I was also an active member, remembered this site from when i used to chop a lot! It's strange how non of the admins are e-mailing people back, alot of people had Lee on their msn as far as i know, so its a wonder word hasn't spread about whats happened. They are probably getting hounded by loads of e-mails though!

Look, we're excited to have the influx of digimodders and wholeheartedly welcome them and anybody else who needs: a dry place to get in out of the rain, somewhere to hang temporarily, or even a permanent place to call home sweet home. Its been our policy from day one and thats not likely to change. But, seeing as how this DM situation is for the most part still a puzzle, buried in a mystery, shrouded in secrecy, I think its fair to assume that there is a remote possibility that this is a temporary thing and at some point it could be back to business as usual just as quick as it went lights out. Therefore it is not in our best interest to start handing out Moderator positions to any displaced dm members given the fact that we would most likely loose them if/when the lights do go back on over there.
Dont get me wrong, we certainly appreciate the ideas and gestures and would most likely consider making some offers in the future if in fact things play out accordingly, but at the present time this is not probable.
For now lets just enjoy each others company, invite everyone to continue to engage in what it is we have in common and thats chopping.
So no more wasting time talking business, only wasting time having fun.

No worries PSDdavinci... there are plenty of folks already here that need to be promoted to moderator and staff positions. Any new folks with no reputation here will have to start newbie up like everyone else, I'm sure they're aware of that.

hi guy's again a big thanks to all here for the hospitality !!!!!!!!
if anybody did not get a mail back from lee i wonder if it came trough , because i know for a fact he would mail right away
the deal is dm is dead and wont return...

but without explaining things afterwards it could be a good thing because we did not control dm really the way it should have been

we now have created (lee d did) a new forum with a new name .
it's almost identical to dm in set up.
and .. we already got most active old members back.
atm (recently launched) we have almost 100 members already and activity in posting like crazy..
we want to continue the dm legacy and make it even better , all people who joined are very enthousiastic as well

main problem of reaching our old members was we had to search for them on other forums and tell them about it ..

i cant give a url here or say the name since i know advertising is not wanted and i really respect that .. also i'm already gratefull we got the chance to discuss things here
i will alway's have a warm heart for photoshopchop.com because this is the place i started ..

actually the main reason i left one day was the fact attitude went bad and the only thing was arguements and lousy replyes..

i'm glad to see this place has really changed again and i think your forum is again a great board..
get some great comps running and think of some refreshing things for memebers here and i'm sure you guy's will rock again

i do think maybe it would be an idea to exchange links to eitch other ??
so we advert for photoshopchop.com and you guys advert for us

we should have joint members (already do) who use both forums..
more like a friendly bridge between community's , since we all have the same passion

i'm no fan of advertising either because it's alway's a one way street .. but this could be a great opportunity to show we can co-exist without competing with eitch other

for me after running dm as admin creating a new community with lee d is one of the things i really visioned when dm went down ..
after you where able to mod a board / b admin invest loads of time it's hard to not be able to do so , this is a whole new start for us with the old looks ..

again thanks all !!!!!!!!!!!!

anybody needing our url can e-mail me r.gelens@chello.nl / or pm

Glad to hear it. Ultimately I think there is a lot of interest to go around,,, and having several communities with different activities and setups is a good thing.

Enjoy getting things going again.

Cheers
