Default Non-Woody

A friend is getting ready to bring this '58 Impala hearse back to the states from Uruguay. He's thinking of making her a woody and is getting a lot of feedback that she needs to be kept as-is (though restored to her former glory).

I keep seeing different two-tone treatments in my head and they all look fantastic.

I figured that it would be cool to see what the PhotoChop Community might come up with and a thread I might give him to peruse through while he waits for her to get delivered so he'd have some ideas when she's dropped off in the driveway.

It also gave me the incentive I needed to register. I've been lurking for ages.

Anybody feel like making her look beautiful?

-Scott

Oh that could be amazing! Some day I want to build a woody!

I'm don't have the time to put into this myself, but if you're serious about getting some renders done someday, I would love to get you in contact with friend of mine who is a concept artist. He could make some magical stuff happen with that. He doesn't work for free though.

Neah.... She's not mine; just some slob's on FB. But she had so much potential when he posted those pics, I had to have a go.... and knew from past experience that there were folks here that could do it far better justice than I could; maybe give her new owner some inspiration

Ah, okay. If he made it a woody, would he keep it as a hearse?

Think that's up in the air. Most likely. He didn't know that it *was* a hearse until he looked inside. (If it were mine, that would be a "down the road" project, as it'll require finding a back seat.)

I didn't notice you called it a hearse at first. I noticed the odd looking back end though. I would change that for sure. Driving a hearse would kinda weird me out.

I always love the tail lights and fins of that era though. Can't beat it!
