Couple Of Questions??

I need to know two things about chrome... One being how do I change from chrome to a gloss black and then how do I go from nothing and make chrome?

1st one is I want to take these wheels (on my blazer) and make them a gloss black or a black chrome.

The second one is I'm trying to make a custom badge for a car and can't get it to look right. I want to make a badge similar to the "Powerstroke Diesel" or the "Duramax" badges but I want it to say "BAJA" in black lettering and then under it "Edition" in chrome lettering and black back ground. I know I've seen "limited Edition" badges like this but I can't find any so I can just modify them so i need to start form scratch!

Any help would be appriceated!

is this the sort of thing you mean?

basically, i cut out the wheel, inverted it, added plastic wrap filter then messed around with adjustment layers and brightness/contrast till happy. Hope this helps.

do you have an example of the badges you are trying to emulate? if so pm me and i'll see what i can do if anything.

As far as the badges go I'm looking to make something like this http://photos.thedieselstop.com/data...C-853F-med.JPG but with Baja Edition. I want it to look like this piece of billet aluminum with the BAJA letters recesed in the plate like word "excursion" is in black and then under it have a recessed block in black with the word "Edition" raised out of the black recesed block in chrome lettering.

As far as the wheels go that kinda looks like what I'm going for. I want to see what they would look like if they were something like this http://www.rimstockimages.co.uk/whee...Matt_Black.jpg Keeping the lugnuts and center cap the same as origonals.

If you do accomplish these things please let me know how you do it so I can expermint with the techniques!

okay 'rocfrog' a new version of the badge for you. i'm not too crazy about the background on the baja part but that can be tweaked if needed. Also i could send you the psd file for this and you can tweak till you hearts content!

I'm working on the wheels now.
