I see a few names I remember - my last time here was 2006 with an occasional pass by. I use PS at work for presentation graphics and did a few chops on some truck sites - but nothing outlandish or spectacular. Here are three of my recent ones . . .

i know back then the forum became a mess ... people where fighting and the atmosphere was really gone , ruined , that's when i started to loose interest , i also stopped chopping for 6 months back then , after that i chopped for a while on my own , not using any forum whatso-ever until i started to be active on a small simple dutch forum for a while.. and after that i joined dm because i needed a challenge and place where level where high ... i'm know a active member on dm for a bout 1 year and 2 months .... so that's kinda my story
i never lost interest in chopping even though i bought a house , got married and have a 4 year old son..
i still sit behind the screen for hours lol

not a case of now wanting i recently got promoted to admin of digimods , and between that and other forums i attend and chopping and having a wife and son , you have to draw a line

I've neglected to improve the site, that is a big issue. I think the first step should be to get all the current admins/mods on my msn/skype list,,, then reshuffle/promote active mods/admins. Once I get all the active guys on the list they can yell at me and keep me updated.. I'm actually more productive when I have folks helping me keep focused. (I'm a procrastinator!)
There are at least 5 guys that I've meant to promote but need to reorganize the backend usergroups before doing so. Of course I also have a redesign on hold but started. I think we could also benefit from an annual comp for the veterans/allstars/oldschoolers... if planned well it might be something that even with busy schedules we can get all you top choppers into... perhaps some day it could be the biggest and best annual comp for the best of the best. What do you guys think?
Certainly sounds good, I am willing as I know many others are, to support any efforts to improve PSC and strengthen our membership. Of course we all know there is going to be a certain amount of attrition regardless but we definitely hate to loose guys such as Rich because of an inability to keep their interest and/or provide certain ammenities for the advanced chopper.
i need something to help me finish these two chops haha, I've been working on them for about 2 years now
Why dont we start a new section: Goodwill Chops or Salvation Army Chops
Here you could discard all those unfinished, unwanted or (in Cartys case) those that are taking so long, deep down you know you'll never finish - chops. These slightly used chops could then be given to some deserving chopper who might be able to still get some use out of them.

imho this place is not going to hell thanks to a few, and i may still be fairly new but i know i havent seen any "vetran" chops for a grip minus psd.
There are plenty of people posting these days, the problem imo is that nobody gives feedback anymore. It seems like everyone wants to recieve feedback, but they dont GIVE it. I did a few tutorials when I started here, but I really improved thanx to the feedback from others.
Before I post up any new work, I make it a habit to give some feedback on a few other chops first. I think its only fair.

I dunno wtf you're talking about... I have two current ones as of now that have squat in them, but a **** load of views. As for the past, that was the past... At least it was fing active.

Exactly.
Only a very small percentage of viewers are actually choppers and then a select few of those will actually take the time to participate in forum actvity. I know its frustrating to put in the time on a chop and not get much if any response. But thats the way it goes somethimes. The way I look at it when I see a lot of views and not much feedback is, as long as theyre not sayin its crap im happy.
