mirroring its mainly copy and pasting your image then flipping it, and then lowering opacity. Also try different blending techniques for better results.

Hope this is helpful(thats all i do)

here's a quick tutorial on mirroring I threw together just now.

flatten all your layers (then save as something else, so your original is safe

original photo:

  • duplicate the layer (right click the layer in the layers toolbar, then duplicate layer)
  • flip the dupilicate layer vertically (edit, transform, flip vertically)

  • select the area just above the wheels and press the delete key

  • move the layer down below the original layer (drag down while pressing shift will keep it in a straight line)

Thats the basics...

Here are a couple of tips

  • adjust opacity (this one is 20%)

  • then add a gradient (gradient tool, press g) and select Foreground to transparent option, second gradient top left) and select a foreground colour to match your picture

hope this helps!

Basically the same as the tutorial above but make your selection look like a mirror shape, delete everything out side of the selection. And maybe use the line tool to add a small edge to the mirror.
