Question Need some major help please

Hi all,im new to this site and hope to stay around for a long time

Okey my question doesn't have to do anything with cars right now,But i figure its a photoshop site its okey to ask any ways

Im using photoshop 7.0
Heres what i want to do,I want to put a image inside a image but when i click on import image and go to my pictures nothing theres at all.I looked around but go very confused on how its done or what needs to be done.

These are the images i want to combine,if someone could please walk me step by step throw it.That would be great,so i could do more images by myself.

Also how hard isit to get the subwoofer to move back and forth

I would like all the writeing taking off the jbl subwoofer and the life thing

Thanks Kyle

I also know i can't spell very good and my grammer isit very good aswell

IM really ready to break this computer,i don't know what the hell Ctrl v is but everytime after i've done the Ctrl C on the first image and then open the second one and press Ctrl v the subwoofer becomes 2x the size of the life perserfer.

I end up just closeing the hole program down and re-opening it and starting over

What happen'ed to good old copy and paste, and i asked for this program for my B-day

Your sub is larger than your life preserver picture, that's why it looks 2x bigger when you paste it into the life preserver picture. You need to "free transform" the sub after you paste it into the life preserver picture to make it smaller.

Go to Edit>Free Transform and then hold the SHIFT key and grab a corner of the 'frame' around the sub and shrink it down.

No need to get to frustrated at the program, there's a ton of functions and there's only one way to figure things out.....practice. Just open a picture and start trying things, you figure out what certain things do in a hurry. Also, read some tutorials on this or other photoshop sites...there is a ton of info out there for people into photoshop.

The problem im haveing now is that

When i cut the subwoofer and then do CTRL T and try to place it on the life preserver it goes transparent.I change the background to gray but that didn't help either

it would go on top LOL

This is how far i've gotten now,But i don't know how to delete the rope around it and how to make new little black lines to seperate the blue from the rest and to where i faded it with white also how do i make the S.O.S a little bigger on the life perserver.I also don't know how to put that image into where the O is in S.O.S.

This is what it has to fit into

BTW HOW DO I MAKE THE LETTERS LOOK LIKE THERE ARE BLACK under the blue ones and

Im so damn close

thanks everyone for your kind support

first off, open the text file on photoshop. Select the magic wand tool Click on the outside of the image, on the gray part. Right click the selected area and cut. then click on any remaining extra color gray you see, such as inside the letter O, and cut it out. Then select the whole text S.O.S. Sound and right click copy. Then open your subwoofer and right click paste the text. Hold control and press T, and resize it to your size. Then drag it to where you want it. IF you need it explained any better, just ask me.
