Default What CKG's been up to lately

I'd really like some feedback/comments/ideas/suggestions/etc.

BASICALLY A BUNCH OF ADVERTISING? SORRY, NO ADVERTISING.

I still have more pages to make.

Yeah, that's right, it's a website I made myself, from scratch. I made all of those in Photoshop. Isn't that what this section is for? Hell, I didn't even link you to the site, I gave you the jpgs!

Isn't THIS thread, and Ricky's site the oh...EXACT SAME CONCEPT. Sheesh, don't make a gfx design/showoff forum if you don't want people to....showoff the gfx designs.

There was links to photoshop forums in the pictures. Rickys thread that you linked to has nothing to do with photoshop forums.

Remove the links to the other forums and feel free to post it up.

its lookin pretty good, maybe you should add a bit of an effect to the toolbar with the links at the top. is the image up the very top always the same pic, or are you plannin on making it change?

No, I thikn I'm going to keep the same banner. That's pretty common in sites. (But I might change it say, every month)

looks pretty alright. The whole thing is a tad borring (well borring is a tad harsh its just blan I guess). Imo it needs more colors and graphics.

I like it. The colors scheme almost matches our upcoming changes which means I love the colors. The layout is the right idea also... Concentrate on only small enhancements from here. I would visit coolhomepages.com or other directory and view all the different sites for little ideas that you can integrate to your design that will jazz it up a bit here and there. The only other comment would be to normalize all headers so they look the same, same font and size for example and for the header menu you should remove the italics. Actually you are a little over doing the italics all throughout the design. Save italics for quotes, references or other text that you want to mildly emphasis. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the comments.

For somereason, my PS (8.0) is putting everything in Italics. Even when it's set on Regular. And then if I set it on italics, it's like...uber-slanted, haha. Any ideas what that might be?

No, it's all original, not template involved at all. The whole color scheme is based on the Aston Martin banner, haha. I just got that, and worked around it. I'm semi pleased with the result. I'll post an update soon.

Sounds good. Did you ever figure out your font problem?
