Alright, heres the problem: Ever since we've had service pack 2 on this computer, when the mouse sits still for about 30secs, the cursor starts to creep towards the upper lefthand corner of the screen. Its not a huge problem, but it gets really frickin annoying sometimes, so i was wondering if someone could help me

well, if it is a screensaver, it doesn't show up in the screensaver selector thingy. oh yea, i forgot to say that it only happens when i'm online in mozilla or IE.

not that kind of screen saver on these new lcd screens the monitor can burn quick so i was just stating that maybe microsoft did that as an in between thing its not ecacly a screen saver but it saves you screen but the fact that it only does it while you on the internet disproves that fact

we just cleaned them two days ago, and it's still doing it, altho it isn't nearly as often

@Rasta: I doubt that would help, considering that we had them replace the same comp 4 times until we got one that worked right

Have you tried something as simple as unplugging the mouse, and shutting down the computer, and restarting it, then pluggin the mouse back in? I hate optical mice, yet I love them. They can be a big pain in the azzizzle.

yep listen to Manson_CS. He speaks the truth. You might also have to just clean the pad or surface. Grease from your hands can seriously screw with ya, so give it a quick clean and then try it again. If worse comes to worse, just ask for a mousepad fro xmas... lol thats what I'm doing.
