Default Second time, First Lambo

THis is my second Tooning. I just posted the mustang about a minute ago so here is one i Just finished today. It took about 2 and a half hours. I think it looks really good.

Why all straight lines? It makes it look like a mosaic or stained glass.

should i use shorter strait lines or just freehand it to get it smoother?

much, much shorther lines. you said that it took you about 2 1/2 hours, you should be spend at least 5-6 on these.

No straight lines! Use the pen tool, bro. If you have to use the line tool, use shorter lines. You gotta get a feel for it. There are so many options in PS that you almost never need to freehand. The only time I do that is to anti-alias (smooth) a line at pixel level with the smudge tool. Also, make sure that you've got anti-aliasing turned on with the line tool so you don't get that jagged digital look.
