Default mini car tutorial

its seems like the mini car thread is starting to some back to life a bit, so i thought id throw together a tutorial. to me, this is the quickest and easiest way to do a mini, and i can usually do one in less than 5 min.

first, open up your image in 2 windows.

then, take one of them, go to Image>Image Size, and change this to about 60-70% width (im using 60% on this one.) be sure to uncheck the "constrain prportions" box.

you should now have something like this:

next, youre going to use a round selection tool to select the area around the wheel on the image that is still full size. be sure to select a large area, since youll be erasing it later.

copy the selcted area and paste it into the smaller image. reposition it about to where the wheel and tire should be.

now, use the eraser tool to get rid of the excess body area, and to get the new piece to blend in.

do the same with the front wheel. then crop to get rid of a lot of the unneeded background.

you may have to play around with rotating the wheels, as well as brushing over some body panels to get everything to fit just right.

from here, you can do any wheel/body changes that you would normally do in a chop. the possibilities are endless.
