Creating Road Paint
This tutorial will show you how to create road paint.

Step 1:

Lets start with this nice road background.

Step 2:

Choose a thick text.  In this case I chose Arial Black with 72 size.

Step 3:

After you have your text set choose Layer/Rasterize/Type.  This will allow you to add effects to your text.

Step 4:

Now choose Edit/Transform/Distort. Make your text look like it fits on the road like below.

Step 5:

We are now going to add a layer mask.  Choose Layer/Add Layer Mask/Reveal All.

Step 6:

Choose the mask and then add the Apply Image options. Choose Image/Apply Image and select what I have below.

Step 7:

Now use the brightness contrast options to give it that worn road look.  Image/Adjustments/Brightness-Contrast.  Choose the selection I have below.

Step 8:

Once again we will revisit the brightness/contrast setting.  Set it up again to give your road paint a more real look.

Step 9:

Now hit Control +L and bring up the levels menu.  Now you can adjust the opacity and the contrast of the text.

Step 10:

Take the eraser tool and give your brush a low opacity percentage.  Take a few streaks out of the text to give it that run over look.

Step 11:

Your final product should look something like this.
