Here we have a fairly rare Z80 based multi-user minicomputer from Altos, this is the 5-15D.
Originally designed for up to 4 simultaneous users, with a CP/M operating system and twin 5.25\" floppy drives. This was a popular computer amongst small businesses and home users - especially for developing with the PASCAL environment.
I have done some work on this computer but i have too many projects at the moment. I have test equipment that allows me to \'see\' the hardware through the CPU socket, and i have verified that the ram is all working, along with the Serial I/O ports, and the boot rom verifies good in-circuit. The paging works too. I think the computer is waiting for a response from the WD floppy disk controller. Thats as far as i have got with it.
Computer is in great physical condition, the power supply is good, and as above - the problem with it might be related to the disk drives.
I have a large stack of manuals that comes with it, pleae see the photos, it includes the original user and service manualwith full schematics etc. There\'s lots of other manuals for the operating system and other software.
