This was the be all and end all of the personal computing back in the 90s.
The Amiga 1200 from Commodore featuring spectacular graphics provided by the new (for its time) AGA chipset.
Powered by the the 68020 CPU from Motorola, it was the envy of many as was one of the first 32bit machines on the market.
Being lucky enough enough to have gotten one of these for Christmas growing up was something else.
Bring back the memories of the days when one pledged staunch allegiance to either Commodore or Atari and experience either for the first time, or once again what it was like to have the best.
Picture the scene... Your mate would turn up at your house after tea with a blue diskette in his blazer pocket. The label would be torn off and the legend “DEMO” scrawled across it. You’d slot the disk in and boot up. Moments (OK, several minutes) later, a cacophony of crunchy, 16-bit rave would be blasting from your speakers and, on screen, a chrome ball would be floating over a checkered board.
