Excellent condition of Atari Falcon 030 16 bit computer. Original IDE HD was replaced with Best Electronic 2G compact flash drive modification. The replaced 80 and a 320 meg IDE HDs will be included freely for re-purposing at the buyer\'s discretion. Keyboard keys have been upgraded with Best Electronic \"TT touch\" silicon stiffeners.Memory was upgraded with Wizztronics 14Meg internal board. Included will be a VGA video adapter to connect the Falcon to a monitor.Original storage box plus OEM styrofoam shipping inserts will be used for shipment. The OEM box will be placed in another box making for a heavy and large package. Shipping charge is estimated accordingly.
OEM software manuals and diskettes as pictured along with Atari mouse and power cable are also included as well as a plastic cover for the Falcon computer. Software includes:
1. AtariWorks disks 1 & 2 and User\'s Manual plus Quick Reference card2. Atari Language and Extra Program disks with Falcon 030 Owner\'s Guide plus Read Me First pamphlet3. Atari SpeedoGDOS disks 1 & 2 plus User\'s Guide4. Atari MultiTOS disk and Quickstart/User\'s Guide
Cosmetically, this is a super clean unit. All power/busy lights function as well as the internal floppy drive which reads/writes without problem. Floppy disks insert and eject without issue or hangup.
Functionally, these are the known issues:1. system time does not keep. A new slim line socket and timing chip will be included in a separate parts bag. This will require un-soldering old socket and re-soldering the new socket and inserting the new chip at location U23.2. internal speaker does not work. External speakers (not included) when plugged into the rear headphone jack have worked fine for me though.
