This is a 1 T NAS with 4 250G drives. This well known system supports RAID in a variety of configurations: 0, 1, 5, 7. It even has a built in media server and there are MANY software upgrades and hacks available. It was working when I took it down and it has been in storage (closet in my office) for a couple of years. Similar systems are here on for $125 plus shipping.
